Job summary

M.C. Dean in the United States is seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems in a large commercial complex with laboratories, reporting to the Service Manager. This role may include back-shift rotation or on-call status.

You will inspect and service chillers, VAV, BAS controls, life-safety systems, and CRACs, maintain logs, analyze results, and respond to emergencies while ensuring safety and compliance with PPE and arc flash standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 8+ years of HVAC experience.
• Minimum of five years on large HVAC systems in commercial facilities.
• North Carolina HVAC Group 2 or 3 Class 1 license preferred.
• Factory training and BAS platform certifications are a plus.
• Must meet government security eligibility; U.S. Citizenship required for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HVAC and building systems including chillers, VAV, and life-safety systems.
• Inspect, adjust and perform preventive maintenance; keep operating logs.
• Use test equipment, analyze results, and report faults or deficiencies.
• Respond to emergencies and support energy modeling and data center operations.
