Job summary

M.C. Dean is hiring a Mechanical Critical Facility Technician to maintain and repair the complex mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities. You will work on HVAC systems across data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants, leveraging BMS platforms and CMMS for efficient maintenance.

The role requires extensive field experience, certifications (EPA 608), and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance where applicable. Strong reading of diagrams and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 10+ years in the field with 3+ years in a critical facility operation.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• Must pass the NITC Journey-Level HVAC Exam within the first year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair complex mechanical systems in data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants.
• Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH units, and air handling units.
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, pumps, valves, and piping.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems; interpret mechanical and electrical diagrams.
• Read and interpret diagrams and use CMMS to track work orders and maintenance activities.
• Monitor and control environmental systems via BMS platforms (Niagara Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls).
