Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Wisconsin is seeking a Senior HVAC Technical Advisor to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential systems and mentor team members. You will interact with homeowners to explain issues and solutions, document work, and uphold high customer satisfaction. A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.

Responsibilities include coaching peers, performing diagnostics, completing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and code compliance on every job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC technical training preferred.
• EPA 608 (Type II) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of residential HVAC repair and installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train team members on HVAC basics and common field issues.
• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems per specs and standards.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to improve reliability and safety.
• Use testing equipment to verify proper operation after service.
• Document findings, work performed, parts used, and recommendations.
• Explain issues and options clearly to customers and present solutions.
• Educate customers on system operation and potential improvements.
• Keep job site clean and vehicles stocked and presentable.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours requests.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable codes.
