Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems while mentoring team members. You will explain issues to homeowners, present repair options, and ensure customer satisfaction. Minimum 3 years of experience required.

The role involves preventive maintenance, documentation, and on-site problem solving, with opportunities to grow technical expertise and lead initiatives across the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential HVAC repair and installation.
• EPA 608 (Type II) certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train other team members with technical questions and basic HVAC procedures.
• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems per manufacturer specs and company standards.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Use testing equipment to perform acceptance tests and verify proper operation after work.
• Document service findings, work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software.
• Explain issues and options clearly to customers and answer questions professionally.
• Educate customers on proper operation, maintenance, and potential improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and stocked service vehicles.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours service.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable codes; comply with OSHA requirements.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with technology and processes.
