K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking an HVAC Senior Technical Advisor to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential systems. You will coach teammates, handle complex troubleshooting, and communicate options to homeowners.

Minimum 3 years of experience and EPA 608 certification required. This role involves on-site field work in Madison, WI, with opportunities for ongoing training and career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical HVAC training preferred; college degree a plus.
• EPA 608 (Type II) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential HVAC repair and installation.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train other team members with technical questions and basic HVAC procedures.
• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems per manufacturer specs and company standards.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Use testing equipment to perform acceptance tests and verify proper operation after work.
• Document service findings, parts used, and recommendations clearly.
• Explain issues and options to customers in a professional, courteous manner.
• Educate customers on operation, maintenance, and potential improvements.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and service vehicles.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours service.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with technology and codes.
