Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling in Town of Grafton, WI, seeks an experienced HVAC Senior Technical Advisor to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems. You will coach peers, handle complex issues, and ensure customer satisfaction through clear explanations and reliable service.

The role emphasizes technical expertise, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with ongoing training to stay current with industry standards. Minimum 3 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC training preferred.
• EPA 608 (Type II) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential HVAC repair and installation.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train other team members with technical questions and common field issues.
• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems per manufacturer specs and company standards.
• Perform routine maintenance to improve reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Use testing equipment to verify proper system operation after work is completed.
• Document service findings, work performed, parts used, and recommendations in service software.
• Explain issues and options clearly to customers and answer questions professionally.
• Educate customers on operation, maintenance, and potential improvements.
• Maintain clean, organized job sites and stocked service vehicles.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours service.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA standards; work safely in homes and on ladders/roofs.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with technology, codes, and processes.
