Job summary

K Komfort Heating & Cooling is seeking a Lead HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems and to assist teammates with technical questions. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving, coaching abilities, and attention to detail to ensure efficient operation.

Minimum of 3 years of experience. You will interact with homeowners and business owners to explain issues and solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction while building confidence in others

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical HVAC training preferred.
• EPA 608 (Type II) certification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential HVAC repair.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train other team members on technical questions and procedures.
• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems per specs.
• Perform routine maintenance to improve reliability and safety.
• Use testing equipment to verify proper system operation after work.
• Document service findings and parts used in service software.
• Explain issues and options clearly to customers, ensuring satisfaction.
• Educate customers on system operation and potential improvements.
• Maintain organized job sites and service vehicles.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours calls.
• Follow safety procedures and applicable codes; OSHA compliance.
• Engage in ongoing training to stay current with technology and processes.
