Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking a seasoned Systems/Engineers leader in Cranston, RI to supervise a multi-discipline engineering team across hardware, software and network-level commissioning for major projects.

You will drive cost-effective design, ensure compliance, and mentor engineers. The role emphasizes building automation, control theory, and integration of sub-systems, with travel to site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate or Technical degree; three years of related technical experience, or equivalent experience.
• Eight+ years of demonstrated knowledge of the HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and related subsystems.
• Experience in integration of low voltage building subsystems using various industry protocols.
• Willingness to travel to job sites outside the area as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of Engineers for hardware, software and network level commissioning on projects.
• Develop processes to ensure cost-effective engineering, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide advanced technical support and act as regional expert in application engineering.
• Lead selection of controllers and end devices to meet specifications and minimize total cost of installation.
• Maintain relationships with customers, consultants and engineers; ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables.
