Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Service Technician III to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC systems. You will lead rebuilds, mentor junior techs, and communicate clearly with customers while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years of experience or 7+ with related education, a valid driver's license, EPA certification, and willingness to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility or 7+ related experience or equivalent education/experience
• High School Diploma or GED; HVAC certificate or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
• EPA Universal Technician Certification required
• Work visa sponsorship not available

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts and lubrication
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring for fan coils, chillers, heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns
• Analyze chiller trend data to ensure optimal performance
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits of commercial HVAC equipment
• Direct Levels I and II technicians through hands-on guidance and centrifugal rebuilds
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards and other items promptly
• Interact with customers providing status reports before, during, and after service
• Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in training through regional trainers and Daikin Learning
• Maintain required certifications and develop new skills
• Uphold safety policies and maintain a clean work area
• Occasional travel including overnight stays
