Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing in Columbia, SC seeks a Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to service and troubleshoot a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems across local sites, with a focus on reliability and safety.

You will diagnose RTUs, split systems, chillers, and chilled water equipment; perform preventative maintenance; complete accurate electronic service reports on a mobile device; and communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with chilled water and/or boiler systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background, drug, and MVR checks.

Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Location: Columbia, SC

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $35.00-$40.00/hr (DOE)

About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join a growing service team in Columbia, SC. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities who can work independently across commercial and industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commercial and industrial HVAC service, maintenance, and troubleshooting


• Diagnose and repair equipment including:
  
  
  
  • Packaged rooftop units (RTUs)

  • Commercial chillers
  
  
  • Chilled water systems
  
  
  • Associated mechanical and electrical components
  
  
  
  


• Utilize electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to identify system problems


• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment repairs


• Complete accurate electronic service documentation using a mobile device


• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal teams


• Work independently while maintaining company safety and quality standards

Qualifications

Physical Requirements
