Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial and industrial systems in Indianapolis. The role requires troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

You'll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose failures in mechanical, electrical, and control components, and document service calls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience servicing commercial HVAC/R equipment.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• NATE Certification preferred.
• Experience with RTUs, split systems, air handlers, chilled water, or boiler systems preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment layouts.

Responsibilities

Pay: $38 – $45 per hour

• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostics

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical service work (standing, bending, squatting)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, MVR review, and physical ability test
• Ability to travel as needed for projects
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently
