Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician III in the Washington DC area. You will service commercial and industrial equipment including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and water source heat pumps, with comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associates Degree or HVAC certification preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility.
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Current first aid / CPR card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters and belts.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment and wiring for fans, chillers, and rooftop units.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Analyze chiller trend data to ensure optimal performance.
• Lead the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC equipment and supervise Levels I and II.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards and other reports.
• Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Attend training through regional trainers and Daikin Learning; maintain certifications.
