Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician IV in the Washington DC/Baltimore area to service commercial and industrial equipment, including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and more. You will receive comprehensive training and grow with a company focused on innovation.

You will lead up to 10 technicians, oversee start-ups of maintenance contracts, and ensure safe, cost-effective project delivery. Local travel with some overnight stays is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or HVAC certification preferred.
• 7+ years of related experience with greater responsibility.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• First aid/ CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for up to 10 HVAC technicians.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective start-up of maintenance contracts and efficient job installation.
• Review contracts/projects and negotiate subcontract agreements as required; serve as primary contact.
• Use Service Management System to establish an effective work plan and meet contract commitments.
• Provide preventive maintenance inspections and ensure equipment is in satisfactory condition.
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime and advise on upgrades when necessary.
• Support Sales with site surveys, reviewing estimates, and providing technical training.
• Promote safety and training per OSHA and Daikin policies; provide feedback to improve performance.
• Travel locally with some overnight stays.
