Job summary

Walmart is hiring for an HVAC/R technician to install and service commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems in our San Antonio area facilities. The role involves wiring, ductwork, controls, and calibration to meet building codes and efficiency targets.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, lead teams, and mentor apprentices while adhering to OSHA and EPA 608 standards. On-call rotation and travel within the region are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification with 2 years of mechanical maintenance or construction-related experience.
• EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling; Journeyman license where required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle record checks.
• Preferred: 2-year HVAC/R program and experience reading blueprints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and controls.
• Configure and calibrate low ambient systems and direct digital controls.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and coordinate repairs.
• Lead field teams and mentor technicians and apprentices on safety and procedures.
