Job summary

Walmart Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC/R professional to oversee installation, commissioning, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance of HVAC/R systems across commercial environments. You will manage refrigerant handling, safety compliance, and field teams while mentoring technicians and coordinating with internal stakeholders.

The role includes on-call rotation, regional workload management, and continuous process improvement to support store operations and maintain cold chain integrity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification required or preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

• Oversees installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems and components.
• Leads diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implements preventive maintenance programs and manages refrigerant handling per guidelines.
• Coordinates service calls, manages parts inventory, and tracks work orders.
• Delivers hands-on training, mentors technicians, and participates in on-call rotations.
• Ensures OSHA/EPA compliance and maintains documentation across sites.
