Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial and industrial sites. You will lead diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and safety/compliance, coordinating workloads and mentoring teams.

The role supports training initiatives, efficiency improvements, and vendor relationships to sustain equipment performance.

Qualifications

3 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
6 years' experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
Hold and maintain Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
1 year's experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area or 2 years' Walmart store experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigeration units.
Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial and industrial equipment.
Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Manage refrigerant handling, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations.
Coordinate and mentor field teams, providing hands-on training and evaluating technician skill development.
Maintain parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service schedules to meet business priorities.
Participate in on-call rotation to support critical operational needs outside regular hours.
