Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration, to lead the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems. You will oversee preventive maintenance programs, manage refrigeration units, and coordinate field teams to optimize performance while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires strong documentation, vendor coordination, and hands‑on training, with a focus on continuous improvement by evaluating

Qualifications

• 3–6 years HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience.
• EPA Type I and II or Universal refrigerant handling certification.
• HVAC‑R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass MVR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems for commercial/industrial sites.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
• Manage refrigerant handling in compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams with hands‑on training and performance reviews.
• Maintain accurate work orders, logs, and expense documentation.
• Support on‑call rotations for urgent service needs.
• Manage parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service scheduling.
