Job summary

Walmart Inc. in Chattanooga, TN seeks an HVAC/R technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration and building systems, while supervising field teams and mentoring apprentices. You will read blueprints, ensure code compliance, and help manage customer outcomes.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues, coordinate service calls, and maintain safety standards. On‑call rotation and driving responsibilities are included.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification required; 2+ years in mechanical maintenance or construction HVAC/R.
• 4+ years in mechanical maintenance with EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification.
• Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams and mentor apprentices on technical procedures and safety.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across systems.
• Read blueprints/schematics and ensure code compliance during setup.
• Coordinate service calls, document work orders, and liaise with vendors.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and drive company vehicle as needed.
