Job summary

Walmart Inc. seeks an HVAC/R technician to oversee installation and commissioning of systems, including ductwork, control panels, and refrigerant handling.

You will diagnose issues, manage preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA standards across supermarket equipment and walk‑in units. You will lead HVAC/R field crews, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate service calls while maintaining records, parts inventory, and safety training.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience or 6 years with relevant AAS
• EPA Type I/II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass MVR
• Experience reading blueprints/schematics and using hand/power tools
• Experience with glycol and CO2 systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC/R systems and components
• Lead field teams, mentor technicians and manage escalated service issues
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical and refrigerant problems
• Manage preventive maintenance, refrigerant handling and OSHA/EPA compliance
• Coordinate service calls, manage parts, track work orders and safety training
