Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R technician to install and service supermarket and commercial refrigeration systems in a full-time role. You will configure controls, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operation.

You will lead field teams, mentor apprentices, and coordinate service calls within the assigned region, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2+ years in maintenance or construction for HVAC/R systems.
• EPA Refrigerant Handling certification (Type I/II or Universal) required.
• HVAC journeyman license where required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR as per policy.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
• Configures low ambient systems and direct digital controls to spec.
• Diagnoses and fixes mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Leads field teams and mentors apprentices on safety and procedures.
• Drives company vehicle to service calls and coordinates with customers.
