Job summary

Jobot in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a permanent Senior HVAC/R Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC/R systems, with emphasis on refrigeration and Building Automation Systems.

You will mentor junior staff, perform routine inspections, document work, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while driving energy efficiency and system performance in a dynamic engineering team.

Qualifications

Minimum 8 years of HVAC/R maintenance and repair experience.
Strong experience with Building Automation Systems.
Mentorship and staff development experience.
Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (HVAC/R).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
HVAC/R certification or equivalent qualification.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and on-call work.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC/R systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and recommend solutions.
Install and configure Building Automation Systems to optimize energy efficiency.
Ensure safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
