Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled commercial and industrial HVAC/R Technician to join our growing team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in HVAC/R maintenance, strong BAS experience, and a proven ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HVAC/R maintenance and repair, with commercial/industrial refrigeration focus.
• Experience with Building Automation Systems: install, configure, troubleshoot.
• Mentor junior staff and support professional development.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex HVAC/R issues.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations for HVAC/R systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• HVAC/R certification or equivalent technical qualification.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and performing duties.
• On-call availability for emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC/R systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems, recommending solutions.
• Install and configure Building Automation Systems to boost efficiency.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance for HVAC/R operations.
• Collaborate with engineering to design and modify HVAC/R systems.
• Mentor junior staff and promote continuous learning.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Stay updated on HVAC/R tech trends and apply improvements.
• Be available to respond to emergencies on-call.
