Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Senior HVAC/R Technician to join our commercial HVAC/R team in San Jose. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC/R and refrigeration systems, with emphasis on building automation systems for energy efficiency and performance.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of HVAC/R experience, strong BAS knowledge, and a proven ability to mentor junior staff while upholding safety standards. On-call availability and physical capability are required.

Qualifications

A minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC/R maintenance and repair.
Experience with Building Automation Systems installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Ability to mentor junior staff and commit to learning.
Excellent problem-solving to diagnose complex HVAC/R issues.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations for HVAC/R.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
HVAC/R certification or equivalent.
Physical fitness for heavy lifting.
On-call availability for emergencies.

Responsibilities

Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC/R systems.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues, and recommending solutions.
Installing and configuring Building Automation Systems to optimize energy efficiency.
Ensuring safety and environmental regulatory compliance.
Collaborating with engineering to design and implement new HVAC/R systems.
Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
