Job summary

Custom Mechanical Solutions is seeking a Project Manager II to lead the administration, execution, and delivery of complex commercial HVAC projects in the Pacific Northwest. The role focuses on managing high-value initiatives, collaborating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver who can anticipate challenges, maintain profitability, and guide a team from initiation to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 5 years of project management, HVAC, mechanical, or construction-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment, construction process, and project execution.
• Proficient in Microsoft and ability to adapt to CRM software.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and customer service skills.
• Financial literacy and experience managing budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and profitability.
• Ability to work in a typical office environment with occasional job site visits.
• Opportunities for advancement into Sr. Project Manager and Team Lead Roles.

Responsibilities

• Manages mid-to-large-sized HVAC equipment projects with increased complexity, scope and customer demands.
• Manages 30–35 HVAC equipment projects concurrently with varying scope and dollar value, typically ranging from $1M to $5M.
• Oversees project execution from initiation to completion with minimal supervision.
• Coordinates with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project success.
• Manages project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards.
• Anticipates project risks and develops solutions before issues impact schedules, budgets, or customer satisfaction.
• Builds trusted relationships with customers by anticipating needs and delivering exceptional service.
• Develops and implements project strategies and process improvements that increase project efficiency and consistency.
