Job summary

Modigent seeks a Senior Project Manager - HVAC to lead complex commercial HVAC, plumbing, and controls projects nationwide. You will oversee multiple PMs and field teams, drive budget adherence, and foster long-term client relationships across our operating companies.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, professional development, and ensuring safety, quality, and profitability while delivering high-performance mechanical systems for commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of progressive project management experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical construction or related building services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• PMP, LEED, OSHA 30-hour, or relevant trade certifications a plus; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of project managers, superintendents, and field personnel to execute projects on time, within budget, and to high quality/safety standards.
• Review bid documents, drawings, and scopes early to identify risks, opportunities, omissions, and value engineering possibilities; develop workable solutions.
• Collaborate with preconstruction, estimating, and operations to create realistic schedules, budgets, and project plans.
• Track project budgets, costs, labor productivity, change orders, and forecasts; identify variances and implement corrective actions.
• Promote open communication among project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal departments to resolve conflicts.
• Organize coordination meetings, site walks, and progress reviews; maintain detailed documentation of scope changes and client communications.
