Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Senior HVAC Product Development Engineer to lead design, optimization, and sustaining engineering of residential and commercial HVAC families. You will manage end-to-end NPD projects, drive agency compliance, and provide cross-functional expertise across manufacturing, sales, quality, and supply chain teams.

You will mentor engineers, apply DFSS/DFMA, perform DoE, and deliver robust, market-ready solutions with BOMs, PCNs, and clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years in product design and project engineering with release of at least two product families.
• EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end NPD projects for HVAC product lines.
• Design, optimize, and qualify HVAC systems using simulations and experiments.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, sales, quality and supply chain.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and prepare BOMs, drawings, PCNs.
