Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior HVAC Product Development Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and sustaining engineering of our HVAC product families for residential and commercial applications. In this technical leadership role, you will drive end-to-end NPD projects and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of product design and project engineering experience.
• Proven track record releasing at least two product families.
• EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification (Universal) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and qualify residential and commercial HVAC systems using advanced simulation tools and experiments.
• Manage individual NPD projects across the full product lifecycle with timelines, costs, and KPIs.
• Lead product qualification programs and interface with regulatory and testing agencies.
• Provide guidance to manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and sales/marketing teams.
• Prepare BOMs, engineering drawings, PCNs, and present designs to stakeholders and clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and apply DFSS and DFMA principles.
