Job summary

Quality Labor Management (QLM) in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced HVAC & Plumbing Estimator to join our team. You will deliver detailed takeoffs and competitive estimates for commercial mechanical projects, supporting preconstruction through turnover.

The role requires 3–5+ years in mechanical estimating, strong HVAC knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and estimating tools like FastDUCT or FastPIPE. This is a full-time, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in mechanical estimating or construction.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and other standard business apps.
• Experience with FastDUCT and FastPIPE is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed HVAC, piping, and plumbing takeoffs.
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial mechanical projects.
• Review drawings, specs, bid documents, and codes.
• Develop proposals, budgets, cash-flow projections and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, subs, PMs, and internal teams.
• Research current material, equipment, and labor pricing.
• Identify risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with additional estimating and preconstruction responsibilities.
