Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and scopes of work.
• Perform detailed material and equipment takeoffs.
• Develop labor and material pricing.
• Solicit and review pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Analyze quotes for scope, exclusions, and accuracy.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and potential cost savings.
• Prepare competitive bids and proposals.
• Assist with value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Participate in estimate reviews and bid strategy meetings.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and historical cost information.
• Work closely with Project Management, Operations, Purchasing, and Leadership.
• Assist with the transition of awarded projects from estimating to operations.

A leading mechanical contractor in the Phoenix market is looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join its growing team.

The ideal candidate will have experience estimating commercial mechanical construction projects, with a background in HVAC, piping, plumbing, or a combination of mechanical scopes.

Compensation

$90,000–$160,000 base salary, depending on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
