Brown and Caldwell in the Northeast seeks a Senior Building Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for complex projects. The role involves interpreting mechanical codes and NFPA standards, sizing systems, and drafting models using AutoCAD and Revit.

Remote Northeast work with office visits is possible, with travel as needed. The position supports work in the Eastern United States with a preference for proximity to Philadelphia, Ramsey NJ or NYC

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of building mechanical engineering experience.
• BC SMS Framework certification in progress.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for projects.
• Interpret codes and NFPA standards in designs.
• Size ductwork and distribution systems for functionality.
• Draft and model systems using CAD/BIM tools (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project success.
