Brown and Caldwell seeks a Senior Building Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer to lead complex HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for commercial buildings and wastewater facilities across the Eastern United States.

The role requires interpreting mechanical, plumbing, building, and NFPA codes, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and mentoring less experienced staff. A hybrid or Northeast remote arrangement with travel to offices may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
• Has achieved or is working towards achieving professional license (PE preferred).
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler design and NFPA standards.

Responsabilités

• Develop comprehensive HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for various projects.
• Interpret mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes and apply NFPA standards.
• Size ductwork, plumbing, and fire sprinkler distribution systems for optimal performance.
• Draft and model systems using AutoCAD and Revit; develop detailed specifications.
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and coordinated discipline integration.
