Job summary

Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Senior Building Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer to lead complex HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for commercial and water/wastewater projects across the Eastern United States. Preference for candidates near Philadelphia, Ramsey NJ, or NYC with hybrid work from these offices or remote in the Northeast with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler calculations for projects.
• Interpret mechanical, plumbing, building, and fire codes and apply NFPA standards.
• Size ductwork, plumbing, and sprinkler distribution systems for optimal performance.
• Draft and model systems using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop detailed specifications and review drawings with other disciplines.
