Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a senior operations manager to profitably execute HVAC controls and integrated building systems across North America. You will supervise Project Executives, ensure compliance with laws and safety standards, and drive cost efficiency in major projects.

The role requires a civil/mechanical/electrical engineering background, a decade of ops management experience, and strong leadership, communication, and travel up to 50% for site oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related degree.
• Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible operations management experience in the Building Industry including five or more years of direct project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profitable execution of HVAC Controls, Building Wide Systems Integrations, Fire and Security projects across North America.
• Supervise Project Executives to plan, execute, and complete large, complex projects, ensuring compliance with laws and safety standards.
• Develop direct reports with performance expectations, reviews, and development plans.
• Coordinate with major project leadership to ensure execution plans and resource-loaded schedules.
• Drive change orders and manage the change order process.
• Collaborate with claims, regional field support, and engineering leaders to resolve issues and improve standards.
• Promote workplace safety under the SSNA Safety Program and support diversity objectives.
