Job summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Service Technician III - HVAC to inspect, troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in single-family rental homes across our portfolio. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, safety, and efficient problem solving.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in general maintenance, HVAC experience, EPA certification, and the ability to work independently, including on-call, weekends and evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in general service and maintenance (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall repair, etc.).
• HVAC Certification preferred; EPA Certification required.
• Experience repairing residential appliances and ability to diagnose advanced HVAC issues.

Responsibilities

• Assess and resolve service requests with strong customer service, representing Progress Residential professionally.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and service requests on electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and related components.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced issues and repair or replace faulty equipment or wiring.
• Report major repairs or replacements before expending funds and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Maintain punctuality and complete service requests in a timely, professional manner.
