Job summary

IES Residential is seeking an experienced HVAC Superintendent to join our Austin team. You will oversee HVAC foremen and field crews, coordinate manpower, and ensure projects meet safety, schedule, and quality standards on residential and small commercial sites.

The role requires strong leadership, 5+ years in HVAC with supervisory experience, and proficiency in coordinating with project managers and drafting teams. On-site work in Austin, with safety-first expectations and OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years HVAC experience.
• At least 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in HVAC or construction operations.
• Experience managing manpower planning, job costing, construction quality, and field operations.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, equipment, installation methods, tools, and construction practices.
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices, OSHA requirements, applicable building codes, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, project plans, specifications, and other project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise HVAC construction and field operations across residential and light commercial sites.
• Lead foremen and crews to ensure productivity, safety, and quality.
• Plan workforce needs and allocate manpower across projects.
• Coordinate with project managers to maintain schedules, budgets, and QoS.
• Review plans and documentation to support timely execution.
• Maintain accurate site reports, inspections, and records.
• Provide leadership and training to field personnel to improve performance.
