Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking HVAC technicians with strong experience in air cooled and water cooled chillers, boilers, and large HVAC systems. The role includes startup, commissioning, aftermarket service, and providing quotes to customers to improve facility efficiency.

Travel up to 20% may be required for branch startups and commissioning activities; a valid driver’s license and EPA refrigerants license are expected. Union affiliation and training through STA are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex repairs, startups, and retrofits for HVAC systems.
• Provide quotes to customers and support recommendations for facility efficiency upgrades.
• Travel 10% to 20% to support branch startups and commissioning activities.
• Assist and train other technicians in relevant job tasks.
