Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support the fast-growing North American HVAC business. This role focuses on startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and aftermarket service for air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, backed by factory certification through our STA.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of HVAC/R experience, chiller expertise, and a valid EPA refrigerants license with state/local licensing. Travel up to 20% may be required; a driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of HVAC/R experience, with direct chiller experience preferred.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license and valid state/local licensing; driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to support startup and commissioning activities.
• Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Factory certification through our STA with recognition and advancement.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Support the fast-growing HVAC business in North America, focusing on service for chillers and commercial products.
• Provide the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and deliver solutions at commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Enroll in JCI’s STA training to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
• Travel as needed to startup, commissioning, and aftermarket service troubleshooting.
