Job summary

Sargent & Lundy invites a Mechanical Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Group, focusing on HVAC system design for laboratory and industrial facilities. You will design and analyze ventilation, chilled water, and heating systems, prepare specifications, and collaborate with clients and suppliers to deliver complete designs.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of HVAC design experience, and familiarity with TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of HVAC system, ventilation, heating and chilled water design experience for labs or industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in TRACE 700 or Carrier HAP.
• Ability to create P&ID diagrams and design flow diagrams.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, HVAC).

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze HVAC systems for laboratory and industrial facilities.
• Prepare technical specifications for HVAC equipment and systems.
• Perform design calculations and develop detailed system designs.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, clients and suppliers to deliver timely designs.
• Assist senior engineers with facility upgrades and client presentations.
