Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer with extensive dust collection experience to lead our Building Mechanical team on projects for diverse industrial clients.

You’ll develop HVAC design basis, calculations, and construction packages while coordinating with clients and vendors. The role emphasizes mentoring, adherence to codes, and delivering safe, compliant dust collection solutions.

Qualifications

• Fifteen years’ experience in HVAC design with multiple dust collection projects.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design for industrial clients and oversee dust collection system development.
• Guide the project team and client with dust hazard analyses and safe dust capture.
• Develop design criteria and calculations for HVAC, including cleanliness and control requirements.
• Create conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents and P&IDs.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure schedule and technical quality.
