Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled Commercial Controls Technician in Houston, TX to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems on client sites.

You will deliver high levels of customer satisfaction, mentor technicians, and complete project documentation. You will diagnose complex control system malfunctions, propose retrofits and enhancements, coordinate with project teams, and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of commercial controls troubleshooting in HVAC
• Technical degree or 2 years of related experience in electronic/mechanical systems
• Experience installing/servicing electronic control systems and HVAC equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and service of building control systems.
• Mentor and train technicians on building automation activities.
• Provide site interface with customers to ensure high satisfaction.
• Prepare project documentation and field changes as needed.
• Propose retrofits, upgrades, and enhancements to existing equipment.
• Ensure safety standards and coordinate with subcontractors as required
