Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an HVAC Controls Service Technician 2 to diagnose and repair complex building automation systems under minimal supervision. You will mentor junior technicians, complete service documentation, and ensure high customer satisfaction on site.

Responsibilities include proposing retrofits, supporting sales with technical guidance, and coordinating with project teams to meet schedules and safety standards. Strong communication and technical knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years commercial controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.
• Effective communication skills to represent Johnson Controls on customer sites.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs complex control systems malfunctions.
• Mentors control technicians and service technicians on building automation activities.
• Provides field proposals for retrofits, upgrades and enhancements to existing equipment.
• Assists sales by providing technical recommendations for sales leads.
• Coordinates activities with branch manager, service manager and subcontractors to execute work.
