Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems. You will mentor junior staff, document service activities, and deliver high customer satisfaction on site.

Role requires extensive troubleshooting of commercial HVAC control systems, coordination with projects, and clear communication with customers regarding system enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance plans.

Qualifications

• 5 years Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry.
• Vocational School program graduate or associate's degree in a technical field, or two years’ experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions requiring extensive knowledge of electronic or digital controls.
• Consult with customers, provide field proposals for retrofits and upgrades, support sales with technical recommendations.
• Coordinate field work with managers and subcontractors to ensure efficient execution and high customer satisfaction.
• Provide sketches of field changes and discrepancies for engineering corrections and drawings.
