You will translate customer needs into optimized configurations, align quotes with requirements, and assist the sales team to win high‑value projects.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, operations, and sales, and involves travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering field or engineering technology.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC application engineering, applied equipment selection, or pre‑sales technical support.
• Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory.
• MBA or Masters degree.
• Strong knowledge of applied HVAC systems and commercial building applications.
• Experience supporting complex commercial projects including water‑cooled chillers and custom applied solutions.
• Experience leading teams responsible for selection, pricing, and technical proposal support.
• Proficiency in HVAC selection and design tools, CRM systems, and pricing or configuration platforms.
• Familiarity with competitive bid, RFP, and negotiated sales processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize Applied HVAC equipment selection, including size, configuration, voltage, and options.
• Ensure all quoting, sizing, and equipment specifications align with customer requirements and standards.
• Prepare, review, and approve final technical submittals, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry regulations.
• Work with sales and project teams to identify scope gaps, potential risks, and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, configurations, and customer approvals.
