Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team for high-voltage transmission projects from 46kV to 345 kV. The role involves applying NESC/ASCE guidelines, producing plans and specs, and coordinating with clients and project teams.

The position is 100% remote with regular site visits across MI's Lower Peninsula and nearby regions; travel may be required. A Civil Engineering degree and 4+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and minimum of four (4) years of prior relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.

Responsibilities

• Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and ASCE code requirements; construct specs; material procurement processes; project schedules; and construction work packages.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
• Prepare bidding documents, draft plans and specifications, and construction documents.
• Communicate with clients and project teams; interface with environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel.
• Perform engineering analyses and support for HV overhead and underground systems from 46kV to 345 kV.
