Job summary

Leidos seeks a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team in electric transmission projects from 46kV to 345kV. This 100% remote role is based in Michigan with regular site visits to the client's territory, open to nearby regions.

You will apply NESC/ASCE/ACI and draft plans, specs, and procurement documents for overhead and underground systems. The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with 8+ years in transmission design, and is proficient with PLS-CADD, POLE, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 8+ years of HV transmission design experience.
Experience reviewing full transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models, foundations, and construction packages.
Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements; procurement processes; project schedules; and construction work packages.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals; able to work in a team and communicate with clients.
Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

Engineer HV transmission line design for 46 kV–345 kV overhead and underground systems.
Prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement details.
Interface with clients, planning, environmental, permitting and construction management personnel.
Support project schedules and coordination with a multi-person Leidos team.
