Job summary
Arcadis is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team in North America. You will directly interface with clients and the Arcadis power delivery team, manage projects, proposals, and business development, and ensure day-to-day client engagement and execution.
You will coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines and work to deliver compliant, safe, and efficient transmission line solutions while mentoring junior staff and supporting travel up to 30%
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within transmission line projects 69kV–500kV.
- Proficient with PLS-CADD software (PLS-POLE or PLS-TOWER a plus).
- Ability to engineer HV and EHV transmission foundations, materials, plans, profiles, and construction packages.
- Design experience adhering to NEC, NESC, IEEE codes and applicable local codes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate HV and EHV transmission line projects from 69kV to 500kV.
- Develop engineering drawings, studies, bid documents, BOMs, and construction packages.
- Collaborate with civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical teams to produce complete design packages.
- Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager, and Technical Lead for client projects.
- Mentor junior staff and ensure quality assurance/quality control across deliverables.
