Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions is seeking an experienced Supervising Engineer to oversee the detailed design of high voltage substation projects, leading engineers, designers and support staff to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence. The ideal candidate holds a degree in electrical engineering, a P.E.

license, and a proven track record in HV substation design, with strong leadership and client coordination capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in electric utility or EPC for high voltage substation design.
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• P.E. license required.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Review vendor documents and coordination with internal Sourcing Team.
• Support proposals, Bill of Materials, and provide Single Line Diagram and layout plans.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on technical interfaces.
• Plan and perform technical design reviews with design teams and report risks to management.
• Review Inspection and Test plans and attend FAT for major equipment as required.
• List and report deviations; implement corrective actions with PM.
• Answer technical site questions from an engineering perspective.
• Other duties as required.
