Quanta Government Solutions in Paramus, NJ seeks a Supervising Engineer to lead the detailed design of high voltage substations. You will supervise engineers, designers and staff to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence and compliance with standards.

The ideal candidate has a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, a P.E. license, and a proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams in the electric utility sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• P.E. license required.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering and understanding of industry codes.
• Knowledge of ANSI, NEC, NESC, and other standards.
• Able to deal with ambiguity and work independently.

Responsabilités

• Review Vendor documentation and coordinate with internal Sourcing Team
• Prepare Bill of Materials and provide Single Line Diagram and Layout plan
• Coordinate with clients, engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers on technical issues
• Plan and perform technical design reviews with design teams and report risks
• Review Inspection and Test plans and attend FAT for major electrical equipment
• Identify deviations and implement corrective actions with PM
• Answer technical site questions and review non-conformance reports from an engineering perspective
• Other duties as required
