Job summary

Quanta Government Solutions seeks a Supervising Engineer to oversee detailed design of high voltage substations in a project-led environment. You will manage a team of engineers and designers, ensuring on-time delivery and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in electric utility engineering, a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (ABET) and a P.E. license, with strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in the electric utility industry performing engineering duties and/or management for high voltage substation design.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university; P.E. license required.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, ANSI and related standards; strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the detailed design of high voltage substation projects.
• Supervise engineers, designers and support staff; provide coaching and performance reviews.
• Develop, manage and monitor project budgets; ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards; implement QC procedures.
• Prepare technical documentation and evaluate contractor performance.
