Job summary
Enel North America Inc. seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership in electrical design and grid interconnection for renewables across the USA and Canada.
You will support HV/MV systems, testing, and O&M in projects, operations, and acquisitions, while ensuring NERC compliance and collaborating with internal teams and external providers. The role requires deep power systems knowledge, mentoring capabilities, and the ability to drive reliability improvements with
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
- PE certification preferred.
- 12+ years in electrical power systems engineering.
- 7+ years in power systems design.
- Strong knowledge of interconnection requirements for renewables.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for electrical design and HV/MV system performance.
- Lead root-cause analysis for HV asset failures and implement remediation.
- Develop and update technical specifications for RFPs within field of expertise.
- Mentor O&M teams and oversee electrical engineering activities across USA/Canada perimeter.
- Ensure compliance with NERC and related regulatory requirements.
